These machines use shortwave infrared (IR) bulbs to flash-dry ink. It’s a delicate balance. You need enough heat to set the ink quickly, but not so much that you end up scorching your fabric. If you get the wattage or the length even slightly wrong, you’re looking at patchy drying or bulbs that burn out way too fast.
