The Power Behind the Heat

And the 300mm length means it stays short, so you can slide it into tight spots—like the tunnel of an oven, a narrow drying lane, or a focused heating station. At 2500W and 400V, the element draws a steady, predictable load. That makes sizing your contactors, fuses, and wiring straightforward from the start. It’s fast, too. The high power density cuts down on warm-up time. But, and this is important, it puts real demands on the system around it. You’ve got to make sure you have proper cooling and thermal management in place. Otherwise, the surrounding parts will get hotter than you’d want.
What’s Inside and Why It Matters
Inside that quartz tube, the carbon fiber element lives in a halogen-filled atmosphere. That halogen gas does a crucial job—it stops the filament from evaporating and keeps the output stable over the life of the lamp. So you get consistent infrared performance, shift after shift. The quartz envelope itself is tough. It handles rapid heating and cooling without cracking. And there’s an optional reflective coating that pushes more energy forward, so less heat is wasted toward the back. For the connection, we went with an R7s connector. It’s a proven industrial fit that gives you a solid, reliable contact. That means swapping out the tube is a simple job—just relamp and get back to work.
