We built this 1000mm carbon fiber infrared heating lamp for the factory floor—the kind of place where uptime and steady heat are everything. Forget the hype. This is a high-density radiant heat source, designed for fast, focused heating that responds quickly and stays under control.
Why the 1000mm length?
Here’s the thing: that 1000mm length isn’t random. It’s a smart balance between coverage and power density. A longer emitting zone spreads the heat evenly, which helps you avoid hot spots on parts and keeps the lamp itself from taking a beating from thermal shock.
Power, voltage, and why it matters
We spec this lamp at 400V because industrial control panels often run at higher voltage. That choice cuts down the current on long wiring runs. Less current means smaller wires, less energy lost as heat in the wiring, and a cleaner install. At 2500W, you get serious radiant power, so targets like preforms, films, or metal surfaces heat up fast. It’s quick. Really quick. But power like this comes with a note: the lamp runs hot, especially in tight spaces. Give it airflow and clearance. And make sure the control gear can handle the heat of the environment around it.
Inside the design: carbon fiber filament and R7s connection
At the heart is a carbon fiber filament, sealed inside a quartz envelope with halogen gas. The carbon filament gives us a predictable resistance curve and holds up under rapid heating and cooling. The halogen cycle helps keep the filament clean by sending evaporated material back to the hot zone, which supports steady output over time. We chose an R7s connector because it’s a proven, tough industrial fit for high-temperature lamps. It carries the current, keeps alignment solid, and makes the lamp a simple drop-in replacement. The quartz envelope handles high temperatures and transmits shortwave IR well, so you get direct, fast heating—not slow, indirect warmth.
Where it shines: real-world processes
This setup was made for jobs that need fast, controllable radiant heat: PET preform heating, thermoforming, laminating, coating drying, and adhesive curing. The response is almost instant, so you can tighten up your cycles and shorten dwell times. Because the heat is directional, you focus the energy right where you need it and avoid wasting heat on surrounding parts. That means less energy per cycle and more stable temperatures once the lamp settles in. On the shop floor, the payoff is simple: dependability, day after day.
