Introduction
We built this quartz carbon fiber lamp for one reason: to give you serious heat, right where you need it, in tight industrial spaces. It’s not about light. It’s about raw, controllable power. Think of it as a direct line to intense heat, delivered fast. We paired a shortwave halogen element with a quartz envelope, so you get thermal energy on demand. If your machine needs to ramp up quickly and hold a precise temperature, this is the kind of focused heat you’re after.
The Inside Story
Here’s the thing about this lamp—it’s built for high-voltage, typically running at 400V. That’s intentional. We sized it at around 300mm, so it slips into those compact heating zones without a fuss. At 2500W, it packs a punch. That power density is exactly what you need for demanding tasks. The voltage choice helps keep current draw lower for the wattage, which means your wiring and contactors stay in a comfortable, manageable range. But there’s a trade-off. The control circuitry needs to be rated for 400V, and your cooling and insulation have to be up to the task. It gets hot, concentrated, and you have to plan for that.
What It’s Made Of
The quartz envelope handles those wild temperature swings like a champ. It stays steady, even when the halogen cycle pushes things to the limit. Inside, the carbon fiber filament responds instantly. It spreads the heat evenly, so your target gets consistent temperature across the board. And the halogen regeneration cycle keeps that filament clean, so the output stays strong for the life of the lamp. We finished it off with an R7s connector. It’s a straight-in, secure mount—no fuss. Just pop it in, and you’re good to go. It makes replacing your old fixture feel like a simple afternoon job.
Where It Shines
This setup is a natural fit for plastic processing, especially jobs like PET blowing. The heat zone is small, the cycles are fast, and timing is everything. With the shortwave response, your machine hits setpoint fast. That means less idle time, more uptime, and a smoother rhythm on the floor. You get predictable performance, even in those harsh, relentless cycles. But remember, to keep it running reliably, you need solid thermal management and components that are rated for high voltage. Plan for that, and this lamp will take care of the rest.
