
Getting the Heat Right for Your ROQDRY
If you’re running a ROQDRY press, you know the struggle. You need enough heat to set the ink perfectly, but just a little too much and you’ve scorched your fabric. It’s a tight line to walk. Here’s a little secret: a lot of the big-name lamps in these machines actually come from our factory. We handle the OEM contracts because we’re obsessed with the details—things like how pure the quartz is and exactly where the filament sits.
Why the “Small Stuff” Actually Matters
It all comes down to heat density. Basically, how much power you’re packing into the length of the lamp determines how fast you hit that sweet spot for curing. We use high-grade quartz glass because these things go from cold to screaming hot in seconds, over and over again. But the real trick is the centering. If the filament is off by even a fraction of a millimeter, you get hot spots. Those spots are a nightmare—they either burn the lamp out way too early or leave ugly, uneven streaks across your prints. To keep things running during those brutal 24/7 production marathons, we use a specific halogen gas fill. It lets the filament run hotter without the tungsten evaporating too fast. It just lasts longer. Simple as that.
No One Likes a Bad Fit
There is nothing worse than fighting with a machine when you’re just trying to swap a part. That’s why we build our connectors to tight tolerances. They should just slide right in. If the fit is loose at the terminal, you get arcing. And arcing is the fastest way to kill a brand-new lamp instantly.It’s a heartbreaking sound.
The Balancing Act: Power vs. Cooling
Now, high-wattage lamps are great for cranking up your line speed. But there’s a catch. When you push more power through a shorter tube, you’re putting a massive thermal load on your reflectors and housing. If your cooling fans are clogged with dust or just aren’t beefy enough for the total kilowatt load, your mounting brackets will eventually warp. We don’t do flashy marketing claims. We just focus on raw output and making sure the lamp stays stable hour after hour. That’s what actually keeps your shop moving.
