When we sat down to design this Clear IR lamp, we had one goal: speed. We wanted something that hits hard and hits fast. This 545mm unit runs on 220V at 1000W, and it’s built for those moments where you can’t afford to wait for a slow warm-up. The secret is the carbon fiber. Most people are used to old-school metal alloy filaments, but carbon fiber just behaves differently. It ramps up almost instantly. The power side of things Putting 1000W into a 545mm stretch gives you a lot of punch. Because it runs on a standard 220V circuit, you can usually just swap it into your existing industrial ovens or curing lines without a headache. You’ll notice the difference immediately—the heat doesn’t just drift; it slams into the target surface. Why carbon fiber? We went with carbon fiber because it doesn’t freak out when it gets hot. Tungsten tends to struggle with thermal expansion, but carbon fiber handles the stress much better. And then there’s the glass. We use a clear quartz envelope. Some tubes have coatings that filter the light, but we skipped that. Why? Because we want that shortwave IR radiation to fly straight through. It means the heat travels further and hits your workpiece with everything it’s got. A few tips for the shop floor Now, a word of caution on the install. You’ve got to be careful with your wiring. Make sure your connectors can actually handle 1000W, or you’re going to end up with burnt-out terminals. Also, because these things get hot so fast, your control system needs to be snappy. A quick PID loop is your best friend here so you don’t accidentally overshoot your target temp. One last thing: that high energy density in such a small footprint means the ends of the lamp get incredibly hot.**Don’t ignore your ventilation.**If you don’t use proper heat sinks or airflow in your housing, you’ll fry your sockets and wiring way sooner than you should.
