We did the boring homework on the physical and electrical footprints so you don’t have to. Getting the power right Here’s the thing about industrial dryers: they’re picky. If the voltage and wattage aren’t in sync, you get cold spots on your substrate, and that’s a nightmare for quality control. Whether you’re running 220V or 380V, we’ve tuned the filament density to keep the heat consistent across every centimeter. Why does this matter? Because if you shove a high-wattage tube into a housing that can’t handle it, you’re going to fry the lamp or warp the reflector. Not a great way to start a shift. No proprietary nonsense We use high-purity quartz glass because these lamps go through a lot of thermal shock—they heat up and cool down fast. We also fill them with halogen to push the temperature higher and get more infrared output. But the part you’ll actually appreciate is the connectors. We stick to the basics, like R7s or SK15. Some companies love using proprietary connectors because it forces you to buy a whole new wiring harness. We think that’s ridiculous. We want you to swap the lamp and get your production line moving again in a few minutes. A few things to watch out for These lamps pack a punch, which is great for curing ink fast. But keep in mind, high-output shortwave lamps put a real strain on your power supply. Just double-check that your transformers can handle the peak current when you first flip the switch. And a quick pro tip: keep your cooling fans clear. If they’re clogged with dust, the heat builds up in the dryer head and kills your lamp’s lifespan. Same goes for the reflectors. Keep them clean. If they’re dirty, you lose the focal point, and you’re basically throwing away a huge chunk of your heat efficiency.
