The power side of things
At 1800W and 230V, these plug right into most standard industrial grids. You don’t have to mess around with bulky step-down transformers, which saves you a lot of headache during setup. We’re pushing 1.8kW through a pretty small space to get your materials up to temperature in a blink. Just a heads-up:**check your wiring and contactors.**Make sure they can actually handle this current, or you’ll be looking at burnt-out terminals sooner than you’d like.
Why carbon fiber and quartz?
Inside the tube, there’s a carbon fiber weave wrapped in high-purity quartz. Here’s why that matters: carbon fiber doesn’t sag when things get screaming hot. It stays put, which means your heat stays even across the whole tube. Then there’s the quartz. We use it because it’s practically invisible to IR radiation—the heat just slides right through without getting trapped.
Getting it running on your floor
Whether you’re doing PET blowing or running a curing line, it all comes down to efficiency. Because these lamps pack so much punch, they get hot—fast. That’s where your reflectors come in. If they’re dirty or even slightly crooked, you’re just wasting your 1800W by heating up the air around the machine instead of the product.Keep them clean. Keep them aligned. One last thing. Carbon fiber is fast, but it’s not indestructible. It’s more fragile than metal. If you’re rough with it during installation, the filament can snap. And please,**wear gloves.**The oils from your skin can leave marks on the quartz, creating little hot spots that will eventually crack the tube. Just a simple pair of gloves saves you from a costly replacement.
