No More Messing Around With Your KTK Oval Printer
If you’re running a KTK oval machine, you know the feeling. Everything is humming along, you’re hitting your numbers, and then—pop. A heating element dies. Suddenly, your throughput hits a wall, and you’re staring at a dead machine while the clock ticks. It sucks. That’s why we built these IR lamps. We didn’t want to make something that “mostly” fits. The “Perfect Fit” Obsession Here is the thing about “drop-in” replacements: if they aren’t perfect, they’re useless. If the wattage is off by a hair, you’re either blowing fuses or leaving the ink tacky. If the length is off by a few millimeters? You either get annoying cold spots on your prints or a lamp that simply won’t sit in the housing. We’ve obsessively matched the KTK specs so the power supply stays cool and the fit is snug. Instant Heat, No Waiting We use shortwave infrared technology here. Unlike those older heaters that take forever to warm up, these hit the ink almost instantly. It’s fast. Really fast. To make sure they don’t crack under that kind of sudden thermal stress, we use high-purity quartz glass. And we didn’t skimp on the plugs. We use standard industrial connectors because a loose wire is a recipe for arcing and a burnt-out lamp. You want a connection that clicks into place and stays there. A Quick Heads-Up on Installation Swapping these is easy. Pull the old tube, plug in the new one, and you’re done. You don’t have to touch your control logic or reprogram a thing. But, a word of advice: shortwave lamps put out some serious, concentrated heat. While that’s great for drying your ink in record time, it can be tough on your conveyor belts and gaskets over time. Just make sure your exhaust fans are clean. If the ambient heat can’t escape the machine frame, it’ll eat away at the lamp’s electrodes. Keep the air moving, and these things will last you a long time.
